Description
For many doctoral candidates and postdocs, writing well in English is of utmost importance for professional success. While writing in general and writing in English in particular are integral aspects of academic life, many researchers are often unsure about what is considered "good" academic writing or what makes a paper written in English successful.
The Writing Consultancy offers individual feedback to doctoral candidates and postdocs to support them effectively in the writing process. The overall goal is to help non-native speakers produce texts that follow the linguistic and stylistic conventions distinct to Anglophone academic writing.
Please note that you may schedule a maximum of three 45-minute slots per semester. Consultees are expected to submit their texts (max. three pages per booked slot) three workdays ahead of their appointment(s). Together, we will try to identify typical errors and develop strategies to improve your writing.
